Barcelona’s Rise to Power On a thrilling Sunday, Barcelona demonstrated their prowess with a decisive 3-0 triumph over Rayo Vallecano, securing the much sought-after second position in La Liga. The victory was punctuated by Pedri’s impressive double and a goal from Robert Lewandowski, which ensured a four-point lead over their Catalan adversary, Girona, with just one round left.

Real Madrid’s Stalemate In contrast, Real Madrid had to settle for a 4-4 draw against Villarreal, with Norway’s Alexander Sorloth stealing the show by netting all four goals for the hosts.

The Race for Europa As the season draws to a close, Real Sociedad clinched the last Europa League spot with a 2-0 victory over Real Betis, who will now compete in the Europa Conference League.

Girona’s Historic Achievement Girona, on the other hand, celebrated their first-ever third-place finish in La Liga with a 3-1 win against Valencia, having already secured their place in the Champions League.
